365 ~ 2015: Day 249
90 degrees = hanging at the pool all day. While traditionally this day marks the "official" end of summer, the weather forecast for the rest of the week says otherwise.

365 ~ 2015: Day 246
Enjoyed having my birthday lunch with these knuckleheads today! Now I get to enjoy the slice of cheesecake my friend got for me at the Cheesecake Factory before we headed home!

365 ~ 2015: Day 245
We survived the first week of school! There was one minor hiccup with Evan today, which was a little surprising for the kid who LOVES school and couldn't wait to start Kindergarten. He was in tears and refusing to go to school (which made me tear up!). I hugged him and asked him over and over why, but he wouldn't say - just that he WAS NOT GOING! Eventually his teacher was able to get him to go with her to the line and he was fine and had a great day.
During his recess time, he let his teacher know that he was nervous about the bus line. It turns out that yesterday he got lost in the bus line and couldn't find his bus line teacher. He wasn't sure if he was in the right place and got a little freaked out. He was assured he was in the right place, and obviously made it home just fine, but he was feeling really anxious about the bus line for today. And it got the best of him.
As a mom who has been fortunate to have easy going kids that just walk into school, and barely even say bye...I didn't know what to do and so I'm thankful for the great staff at the school that helped Evan (and ME!) get through this unexpected hiccup!

365 ~ 2015: Day 244
My last "first time riding the bus" picture! Evan was so excited when I told him he at least gets to ride the bus home!
