20 Minutes before the polls closed last night the fire alarm was triggered.  Everyone had to evacuate and the fire department was called.  A friend offered to snap a picture of me in the home stretch to document the end of a very long day that ended up being extended a little longer!  An hour later I would find out that I won my race!  As of January 1st, I'll be an official school Board member.

The boys made signs for me to hold this morning.  It was COLD.  It was asking a lot to stand out there in the cold so early in the morning and they tried very hard not to complain, but I know that it's not exactly what they would have chosen for their day off from school.
