365 ~ 2015: Day 237
David had his 9 year old well check today and he is happy and healthy! He's growing and staying consistently in the 50th percentiles for height and weight. However, he struggled with the eye exam and received the official recommendation to take him to the eye doctor. We knew last year he was borderline, but this year it was obvious. He had a hard time reading the 20/40 line and it was so bad they didn't even bother having him try the 20/20 line. With both eyes he was able to get some of the 20/30 line, but only a few letters. With our family history, this does not come as a surprise. It was always just a matter of time. He goes on October 9th (unless they get a cancellation and we can squeeze him in sooner!).

365 ~ 2015: Day 232
We had such a great day today catching up with some friends from our old stomping grounds! The kids are so cute and eavesdropping on some of their conversations is so stinking cute! It gets harder and harder to get together with all the different activities they all have and not having the same school vacations, so we make the time we get count! And even though staying a little longer to grab an ice cream treat to finish off the visit, means sitting in lots more traffic. It's totally worth it! Looking forward to hitting the slopes with these crazy kids this winter!

Someone is going to need a crash course in shoelace tying before school starts. He just HAD to have these cool blue sneakers so maybe this will be what gets him to sit down and practice once and for all!

365 ~ 2015: Day 217
Plaster and water! At 6am the plaster truck pulled into our backyard and finished a little after 11am. To make sure the pool was filled for the start up that is scheduled for tomorrow morning we had two trucks of water delivered to give us a head start. We had planned to just fill the entire pool with the hose, but it would not have taken too long. The electricians were back getting everything wired and now we wait for the guy to turn it all one and show me how to run it all! I plan to take lots of notes! We still have some work to do with getting the fence (we have a temporary one right now) and fixing the yard, but we can swim and that is good enough for me right now!

365 ~ 2015: Day 216
Still a lot of work to be done, but we have a finished pool deck and equipment installed. The pool was drained of the funk water today and washed down. It's ready for plaster and water tomorrow!

365 ~ 2015: Day 215
My parents gift to the boys for their birthdays - an afternoon at Funspot! The boys love hanging out with Grammy for the afternoon and playing games and it's one less toy to clutter the toy room! I say it's a win, win!

365 ~ 2015: Day 214
The pool saga continues. It's been an interesting process but the light is at the end of the tunnel and we've been assured we'll be swimming by Saturday! The decking company started a week and a half ago with the grading and back-filling. Then last Monday they came with a crew to install the bullnose coping. We thought they would be here last Friday to install the pavers, but they were unable to start until today. They are going full steam ahead and today they built the retaining wall at the bottom of the hill, the equipment slab installed, measured out and prepped the layout of the pavers and began the process of installation. I am excited to see what the rest of the week brings. Tomorrow they will finish up with the deck installation and the pool company will set the equipment. Wednesday the electrician will hook it all up to the panel and then Thursday they will install the white plaster. As soon as the plaster is installed we begin filling it up and they will start it all up on Friday. I'm doing a little dance to the Pool Gods that all the ducks line up in a row to get this project completed this week!
