Piano lessons started back up last week and they are back to daily practice; working hard to earn medals in the CCMS Olympics!  When Evan comes to a half note or a whole note, he counts how long to hold the note by singing it in tune.  It's the cutest thing.

Shaun had the chance to show us his classroom in his new school at the open house tonight!  His hopes and dreams for third grade is to learn geometry!  David had baseball practice, but Dad got to see his classroom and his hopes and dreams for fifth grade is to learn history and pre-algebra!

One kid at soccer practice at 4:30 and another at 6pm...means a quick and easy dinner.  My Instant Pot is my new favorite.  It make the most perfect rice in 12 minutes!

It's fall, so it only means one thing.  Soccer!  Shaun is playing on a traveling team this year and was the goal keeper for a half.  He surprised us and did a great job staying focused and being aggressive. Considering it was his first "real" soccer game, we were impressed!  Evan also had a great first game in his soccer debut.  This year they have the 1st & 2nd graders playing a real game with a practice one a week.  I was impressed by his effort, he was really hustling to get to the ball and make plays. Next time he'll remember his cleats!

We had a great visit in our old stomping grounds today, including a drive by of the old place before some lunch on the beach.  Afterwards we headed to check out waves from Hermine.  I love how we all just pick up where we left off.  Looking forward to some skiing with these kiddos this winter!

Happy Birthday to ME!  I had a great day celebrating.  The Sangria was plentiful and it was nice to have some of my friends over to celebrate, even if it was for a fantasy draft!  3 more years until the EPIC 40th.

Yesterday we had well checks for David and Shaun. David still hanging out in the 50th percentile for his height and weight, while Shaun is 75th percentile.  I thought it was interesting that they both weighed the same amount.  Shaun passed his eye exam with flying colors, so no glasses in his near future.  It will be interesting to see if and when that changes.
