365 ~ 2013: Day 120

Three years ago at this time I was checked into Boston Medical Hospital getting ready to meet our stubborn little guy who just had to be a May baby instead of the April baby we were expecting!  Today we celebrated with our Family Center Friends, by bringing in a cookie cake.  He was excited to have his friends sing to him!  Tonight I tuck in my 2 year old for the last time, tomorrow he wakes up a 3 year old!

We are having a GIRL!!  And by we I mean my BFF is having a girl...but close enough!  I cannot even tell you how many reminders I have already received from Charlie that she in fact, is not really mine...but I'm just choosing not to listen!!  WE'RE HAVING A GIRL!!!!  I AM SO EXCITED!!!!

Shaun's preschool teacher got a grant to make a garden outside their classroom.  Home Depot donated all the supplies and even came to build it.  Each student got a square foot to plant seeds.  I can't wait to see the progress after the break!

Even the 6-1/2 year old needs to have some down time every now and then, though he'll deny it every time.  Note the pillow on top of his head, he's been sleeping this way since he started using a pillow to sleep.  It's one of those quirks that I want in the memory books forever!

Practicing some Everyday Math at home today with the boys. David's been working on money concepts in math throughout the year, but this particular math unit he is working on in school right now is all about money. His teacher asked that we try and find opportunities to practice the concept of counting out mixed sets of coins needed to purchase an item. So today I set up a little store and put price tags on various toys. I had Evan and Shaun each shop for an item and then had David pay the bill!
